Q: What is the average price of wedding gowns at Divas Closet?
A: We carry a wide variety of wedding gown designers that range in price depending on the style, fabric and amount of detail in the wedding dress starting as low as $480 and we also carry a line of rental wedding gowns that rent for $299 and $499.
Q: Do I need an appointment to try on wedding gowns at Divas Closet?
A: Our bridal boutique is by appointment only Tuesday - Saturday. However we do accept walk-ins on Saturdays 11am to 4pm.
Q: What should I bring with me to my bridal appointment?
A: We suggest that you bring a well fitting bra and if possible a strapless one to change into. Some of the wedding dresses will look best with a strapless (or no) bra and shapewear. It’s good to have options so you can see each wedding dress looking its best and don't forget to bring your heels!
Q: Is there a limit to the number of people I can bring to my bridal appointment?
A: Our bridal boutique is intimate so we suggest that you bring up to 5 loved ones whose opinions matter the most in your wedding dress shopping experience.
Q: How long is a bridal appointment at Divas Closet?
A: A standard bridal appointment is one hour and thirty minutes. If you find yourself becoming overwhelmed with the experience and you can't decide on a wedding gown you can always request a follow-up appointment.
Q: What if I want to book a bridal appointment longer than the standard one hour and thirty minutes?
A: If you want a more specialized VIP experience for you and your guests. We do offer "Diva Sessions" for a $250 fee which includes a 3 hour session with a bridal stylist; white wine or champagne; gourmet cheese & cracker tray with assorted seasonal fruits and you can invite up to 10 of your closest friends and/or relatives. To book a Diva Session please contact us at 913.406.4478. If you purchase a wedding gown during the "Diva Session" we will give you a $200 credit towards your wedding gown purchase.
Q: How long does it take to get a wedding gown at Divas Closet?
A: We recommend purchasing your wedding gown at least 7 to 8 months before your wedding date this allows time for you to have your alterations done.
Q: What if I need a wedding gown in less than 7 months?
A: Some of our wedding dress designers may be able to accommodate a rush order for an additional fee. Be sure to inform your bridal stylist upfront about your timing and she will work with you to find the best solution to have your wedding gown ready in time for your special day. We also have rental wedding gown options available which can be available sooner.
Q: Do you offer wedding gown alterations at Divas Closet?
A: We have a relationship with a third party that does all of our wedding dress alterations for our plus size bridal gowns. You are not required to use our alterations contacts. Alteration expenses will vary depending upon the work to be done, but you should budget $300-500 for alterations. Be sure to discuss alterations options with your bridal stylist and we can schedule a follow-up appointment at our boutique with our alterations contact.
Q: Which designers can I find at Divas Closet?
A: We have a number of designers at Divas Closet Bridal Boutique. We carry Pronovias White One; Pronovias St Patrick; Roz La Kelin; Sydney's Closet and a number of private designers.
Q: I’m getting married in less than 4 months – is it too late to get a gown from you?
A: No, it’s not too late, but every second counts! Your options include buying one of our samples off the rack or working with a consultant to determine which designers can meet your time frame for a "special order" gown, which could include an additional rush charge.
